I believe food is a great way of connecting with those from different cultures and understanding each other. Same as learning a language (communication) but in a more practical and accessible way. I cooked a pig's head that is frequently found in Asian culture at restaurants and traditional ceremonies and had two people from different backgrounds eat it. I wanted to initiate a conversation about food, prejudice, bias and different ways of processing things in different cultures.  After the performance, I shared the leftover from the performance with the audience and it was a chance to familiarize oneself to different cultures by trying an unfamiliar food, sharing and talking about recipes and experiences.
